Terms and conditions of sale
These terms apply to every order placed on www.northphotography.mu or at the gallery with North Photography Ltd.
1. The seller
North Photography Ltd, a company incorporated in Mauritius, BRN C26233497, whose gallery is located at Royal Road, Pointe aux Canonniers, Mauritius. Phone +230 5944 4314, e-mail info@northphotography.mu.
2. Products
North Photography sells limited-edition fine art prints, numbered per format and delivered with a certificate of authenticity, photographic prints made by its lab, framing, books and objects, and studio services. Product photos are as faithful as possible; slight colour differences may come from your screen.
Fine art prints, prints made from your own files and framing are made to order.
3. Prices
Prices are in Mauritian rupees (Rs). North Photography Ltd is not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged: the price shown is the price you pay. Amounts shown in euros or US dollars are indicative only; payment is made in rupees.
Delivery charges, if any, are stated before payment. Prices may change; the applicable price is the one displayed when you order.
4. Orders
You choose your items, collection at the gallery or delivery, then enter your details. You receive a summary, an order number and a tracking link. The order is binding once payment is received.
For a limited-edition work, the edition number is assigned at payment, in order of sale. If an edition sells out between order and payment, we inform you and refund you in full.
5. Payment
Depending on what is offered for your order: debit or credit card (Visa, Mastercard) on the secure payment page of our provider MIPS, in partnership with MCB; bank transfer; or payment at the gallery (cash, card, Juice).
When you pay by card, your card details are entered only on the secure MIPS page: North Photography never receives or stores them. For quoted orders (companies, hotels), a deposit may be requested; the balance is due as stated on the quote or invoice.
6. Delivery and collection
Free collection at the gallery, or delivery within Mauritius. Lead times and conditions are set out on the "Delivery and collection" page.
7. Returns and refunds
You have 14 days after receipt to return a non-personalised item in perfect condition. Made-to-order or personalised items are neither taken back nor exchanged, except if defective. Details on the "Returns and refunds" page.
8. Copyright
Buying a work does not transfer any copyright: the artist keeps all reproduction and exhibition rights. Images on this site may not be reproduced without permission.
9. Liability
North Photography undertakes to use its best efforts. It cannot be held liable for delay or non-performance caused by force majeure (weather events, cyclones, strikes, network outages, etc.).
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Mauritius. In case of disagreement we first seek an amicable solution: write to info@northphotography.mu. Failing that, the courts of the Republic of Mauritius have exclusive jurisdiction.
